When you log in to Edgewonk for the first time, you are asked to create your first database/journal.
You have two options:
1. Create a "New Journal" from scratch
2. Import your existing Edgewonk 2 Journal (this only applies to previous customers who want to import their old trading data)
1. Create a new journal
This option allows you to create a completely new trading journal.
There are only a few inputs before you can start journaling:
-The Journal name(1) is the identifier for your trading journal. You can use any name or number here.
- The Account currency (2) of your trading account.
- The Markets (3) that you are trading in your trading account.
- The first deposit(4) so that your Edgewonk journal matches your trading broker account balance.
- The deposit date(5) is the date you want to start journaling from. Use the deposit date to find the right trading account balance for the deposit amount.
Important: The Deposit date must be set before the first trade date.
That is it. Now you have created a brand new trading journal and you are ready to input your first trades.
We have also created a free step-by-step journaling course that takes you through the Edgewonk trading journal: start free course
